Chairman of House Administration Reaffirms Commitment to Eliminating Government Waste

WASHINGTON - Today, Committee on House Administration Chairman Dan Lungren, R-Calif., issued the following statement applauding the passage of H.R. 292, which eliminates some of the mandatory printing of bills and resolutions by the Government Printing Office:

"This resolution is another step towards our continued commitment to identifying and reducing unnecessary government spending and finding greater efficiencies within our agencies. With over 8000 bills and resolutions introduced in the House alone last Congress eliminating this unnecessary printing and wasteful spending is a small, but productive cut.

"As we promised in our Pledge to America, this Majority is committed to fiscal stewardship and will continue to look at House operations for ways to further reduce costs."
