WASHINGTON – Today, the Committee on House Administration's Chairman for the 112th Congress, Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Calif.), announced that Philip Kiko will serve as the Committee's Republican Staff Director, effective December 23, 2010.

"I'm extremely pleased that Phil has agreed to join the team," Lungren said after naming Kiko to the top post. "His proven ability to lead and his extensive experience with House operations will guarantee the Committee's ability to successfully reduce spending and establish more efficient, accountable operations here within the House complex."

Prior to joining House Administration, Kiko served the House in multiple capacities including Chief of Staff for the House Committee on the Judiciary and Deputy Chief of Staff for the House Science Committee. Mr. Kiko also served as Chief of Staff and Counsel for Congressman Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.). Other House experience includes a position in the House Chief Administrative Office as Associate Administrator for Procurement and Purchasing.

An attorney by trade, Philip Kiko received his J.D. from the George Mason School of Law and is a member of the DC Bar, Virginia State Bar, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In the Reagan and George H. W. Bush Administrations, Kiko held senior positions in the Department of Education and Department of Interior. His most recent position was as a senior member of the Regulatory and Public Policy team in the international law firm Foley and Lardner, LLC.
