WASHINGTON – Committee on House Administration Chairman Gregg Harper (MS-03) and Ranking Member Robert Brady (PA-01) issued the following statement commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the United States Capitol Visitor Center:

“Today marks the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). We at the Committee agree that the CVC holds true to its mission statement, ‘Working together for Congress to inform, involve and inspire every visitor to the United States.’ Since its creation, the CVC has welcomed over 20 million visitors who have immensely benefited from its creation.

We appreciate the diligent work done by the Architect of the Capitol and all staff involved in continuing to oversee and carry out the important functions of the Capitol Visitor Center, and the committee looks forward to seeing the CVC carry on and evolve in the future.”
