WASHINGTON - Committee on House Administration Chairman Bryan Steil joined Newsmax's Greta Van Susteren on The Record to announce the return of Newsmax to the House Channel lineup.

As Chairman Steil highlighted:

"As the Chairman of the Committee on House Administration, when Newsmax was going through their battle with DirecTV, what I learned was the House of Representatives gets our channels from DirecTV. We didn't have Newsmax on, and I said, 'Well, let's take the opportunity to put Newsmax on the TV of every House of Representatives Office.'

"It's now on channel 10, so if any viewers visit Capitol Hill or call their member of Congress, tell them to turn the TV to channel 10 so they can watch Newsmax and get the truth about what's going on in Washington D.C."

Background:

Newsmax was removed from DirecTV over a financial dispute in late January. After pushback on DirecTV, the company reconsidered dropping the conservative outlet and Newsmax reached a deal to return to their channel lineup.

House Administration Committed then quickly added Newsmax to the House Channel lineup, in which the conservative outlet has not had a place for years under the previous majority.
