Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.), House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) are requesting that information provided to House committees regarding January 6th be shared equally with Republicans and Democrats.

The requests follow reports of House Democrat committee leaders launching a review of January 6th by sending letters to 16 agencies within the Executive Branch and Congress requesting documents and messages. Republicans have been denied similar requests made to the House Sergeant at Arms (SAA) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

"As our Senate counterparts are currently doing, any investigation by the House into January 6th must be bipartisan and this has to start with the equal sharing of information," said Ranking Members Davis, Jordan, Comer, Rogers, and Nunes. "Although we've raised this issue with the Speaker's office in the past, our calls have gone unanswered and Republicans have been denied access to important information by some of the Speaker's House officers. Now that Speaker Pelosi has officially announced investigations by multiple committees, it's critical Republicans and Democrats have access to the same information. It's important to reiterate that these investigations must be bipartisan as our counterparts in the Senate are already doing."

Letters were sent to the same 16 agencies requested by the Democrats as well as the CAO who denied Committee on House Administration Republicans' original request for information. CLICK HERE to read the letters.
